This new expansion into the world of R/C HELIS is providing a new and exciting challenge for yours truly, Roger Bourland, and one of my good friends, Dan Wiggins. While Dan has some past experience with fixed wing R/C flight, rotor wing flight is a new endeavor. I intend to keep you posted with our progress, catastrophes, and new advances.
This all started when I spent some time with my long time friend, Doug Darby, who used to compete with me in the on-road r/c circuit. A few years ago, Doug walked away and took on the new challenge of R/C HELIS. With Doug's guidance and advice my crusade into the world of helis has begun. Doug's advise was to start small and crawl into the heli hobby.
I soon will begin a page to which I intend to post each purchased heli, it's cost, the reason it was chosen, and any additional accessory that plays into the long-term goal. I will also point out where my supplies are coming from as I want to acknowledge the hobby stores on any on-line site that provides quality service as a guide to anyone that might follow into this fun hobby.
